Offered as a counterpoint to growing individualism in the wake of neoliberalisation, this film by Sharlene Bamboat, takes an intimate look at the political and personal life of activist Tony Souza – exploring solidarity, collective struggle, and how these values have transformed in the last decades of neoliberal policies. Across its spellbinding hand-processed 16mm film, poetry, and sonic palette, the film, and its collaborative score, play with the concept of tension – between friendship and desire, between private and public, and between solidarity and alienation.
