London-based producer Visionist releases a stirring video for the title track of his new album ‘Value’.
Working under his alter-ego Visionist, London-based producer Louis Carnell has never shied away from his own vulnerability. The visceral soundscapes of his 2015 breakthrough, Safe, explored the personal onslaught of an anxiety attack, while his new album, Value, delves into themes ofmachismo and effeminacy, self-deprecation and self-love, and self-preservation and validation. Directed by Belgian artist Frederik Heyman, the stirring new video for title track ‘Value’ transforms these notions into a visceral visual experience. Reenacting historic press images of people in need of rescue, Visionist literally embodies the torment of struggle and self-preservation.
Watch the video for ‘Value’ below and catch Visionist’s new audiovisual collaboration with Portuguese artist Pedro Maia live at Rewire 2018. Learn more about the performance at: Visionist + Pedro Maia.
