Rewire joins SHAPE+, a European platform for innovative music and art. SHAPE+ is artist-oriented, and, every year, it creates a selection of exceptional emerging talent via open call, and curatorial voting, to then foster their careers with performance invitations, collaborative residencies, commissions, seminars and networking events. SHAPE+ is co-funded by the European Union.
The platform now consists of a union of 18 European festivals – SHAPE+, up until now composed of these organizations, is now joined by Rewire, Polja festival (Serbia), and Full of Lava (Switzerland). Additionally, SHAPE+ is in the process of finalizing its selection of media partners, which currently includes NTS Live, Rinse FM, Ola Radio and Resonance FM, among others.
SHAPE+ recently announced its 2024/2025 list of artists. The artist selection places a number of sound artists alongside musical acts that range from club music and forward-thinking media art to experiments with traditional music and free improvisation. Bringing together 54 artists, this is the largest SHAPE+ artist list to date:
