We're looking back at a weekend full of beautiful exchanges between people at Fluid Formations as part of Ultima Festival, Oslo. Presented by Rewire, Ultima’s context programme Fluid Formations brought together artists, researchers, practitioners, and audience members in a two-day gathering of communal listening and thinking. Check out the photos below.

Fluid Formations is inspired by the artistic practices and works presented at Ultima, which dealt with questions of music and listening in relation to land and water, different cosmologies, stories of migration and conflict, and environmental crises. Oceans, rivers, their ecologies and inhabitants were often protagonists. The programme followed the metaphor of water, with conversations (𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴), lecture performances, sound walks and listening sessions (𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴), film screenings (𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴) and radio interviews (𝘸𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴).
