The London-based trio Moin is made of Tom Halstead, Joe Andrews, and percussionist visionary Valentina Magaletti. Their third release on AD 93 came out in late October 2024 to much acclaim, featuring vocal collaborations with james K, Coby Sey, Olan Monk, and Sophia Al-Maria – the latter two will perform with Moin at Rewire 2025.

Moin recontextualize a range of guitar-based genres – grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock – through an enigmatic reimagining of the traditional band dynamic. They challenge conventional ideas about what a band might be, striking a balance between the familiar and the unsettling. Their new album You Never End (2024) showcases a heightened sensitivity, reimagining various band-genre sounds with a uniquely comforting melancholy while retaining a vibrant energy.

The album features collaborators who each bring their captivating voices, which are difficult to categorise. James K contributes ethereal, reverb-drenched vocals; Coby Sey's lyrics resonate and echo throughout London’s concrete landscape; and Olan Monk showcases emotive songwriting. Additionally, artist Sophie Al-Maria gifts her unique vocals, drawing from her multidisciplinary practice as an artist, filmmaker, and writer. Throughout the record, the distinct mystique of each collaborator is preserved while simultaneously allowing Moin to explore new possibilities through a gentle, transformative sonic alchemy.
