Laurie Anderson to perform at Rewire 2025

26 Feb 2025

Rewire is delighted to announce that Laurie Anderson, a pioneering artist in experimental music, performance, and technology, will perform at the festival’s fourteenth edition on Sunday 6 April. A singular voice in contemporary culture, Anderson has spent decades pushing artistic boundaries and redefining the possibilities of storytelling, sound, and music.

Spanning multimedia performance, electronic composition, and visual art, Anderson’s groundbreaking work has earned her five Grammy nominations and, most recently, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy. From her pioneering use of voice manipulation and electronic processing to her genre-defying live performances, Anderson’s work remains as urgent and boundary-pushing as ever.

Laurie Anderson returns to The Hague – following a focus programme around her work at the festival in 2018 – to perform during the closing moments of the weekend in Amare's enchanting concert hall, accompanied by composer and electro-acoustic violinist Martha Mooke.
