Central Imaginary District sound walk

28 Oct 2019

Join us on a sound walk through the Hague’s ‘Central Innovation District’ on Saturday 7 December from 13:00, led by Justin Bennett.

Known for his unique combinations of spatial recordings of environmental sound and the resonances of buildings and materials, British-Dutch artist Justin Bennett has created a specially commissioned sound walk experience, which premiered at Rewire 2019. Entitled ‘Central Imaginary District’, the sound walk combines spatial recordings, found sounds, archival material and interviews with residents in response to The Hague’s latest development project, the ‘Central Innovation District’. Discover residents’ dreams and fears for the future of their city in this unique sound experience.

Justin Bennett will lead the sound walk on Saturday the 7th of December, which takes approximately 45 – 60 min and starts from De Overkant. To join in the sound walk, you will need to register by sending a mail to: educatie@rewirefestival.nl.
