Bec Plexus 24h Livestream Release Party

08 May 2020

Bec Plexus is a singer and composer who’s been active for almost a decade crafting both wildly playful avant pop, electronica and acoustic music works. On the 24th April, she released her amazing new album ‘STICKLIP’, which has been received with critical acclaim. To celebrate the release, she is throwing a 24-hour release party, co-hosted by Rewire and New Amsterdam Records which will be streamed live online. She’ll debut 10 new music videos, and invite a wide range of guests and collaborators from across the globe for performances and conversations. Stream the full release party below, as well as her new album.

Bec Plexus was set to launch her new album ‘STICKLIP’ at Rewire 2020 on 5 April, which was unfortunately cancelled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. So, we’re helping present this 24hr livestream of this release party, which will be hosted by Bec Plexus herself alongside bandmate Allison Wright.

The ‘STICKLIP’ album already gained recognition with large features in the New York Times and NRC Handelsblad. With contributions from Son Lux’s Ian Chang and Rafiq Bhatia, as well as a wide range of other esteemed musicians, ‘STICKLIP’ wanders to unexpected places with each song serving as a channel for a secret to be revealed: an absurdist confessional booth in the “church” of Bec Plexus.
