Spotlight: Greetje Bijma & Oceanic's 'Swallow A Party LP'

Following a successful start to our season of Rewire x Korzo events, we now shift focus to the 18th edition on Friday 30th October. At PAARD we’ll host the unlikely but inspired collaboration of Greetje Bijma & Oceanic, connecting two generations of Dutch musicians for a special performance of their new album ‘Swallow A Party LP’.

Through a chance encounter with yeyeh records founder Pieter Jansen, the award-winning Friesian free-jazz vocalist Greetje Bijma wound up in the studio with rising star in the Dutch electronic underground Oceanic, known for his ambient and leftfield techno releases on labels such as BAKK and Nous’klaer Audio. The pair quickly connected on an emotional and musical level, with Bijma taking her cues from Oceanic’s electronic sounds and rhythms, and Oceanic drawing inspiration from Bijma’s dexterous, mind-bending and otherworldly vocalizations.
