Listen to the debut solo album by the British cellist and composer ahead of her Rewire x Korzo show.

Hailed as one of the leading instrumentalists working in experimental and electronic music, British cellist and composer Lucy Railton is a prolific collaborator whose practice is rooted in 25 years of classical instrumentalism. Last March, she released her debut solo album, ‘Paradise 94’, via Manchester-based label Modern Love. Sourcing field recordings and found sounds alongside modified cello, church organs and 80s synths, the album sees Railton weave these disparate elements into a distinctly modern approach to the traditions of musique concrète. At Rewire x Korzo on Saturday 16 February,Lucy Railton will adapt ‘Paradise 94’ into a solo performance for cello and electronics.
