Artist, performer, DJ, and sound designer Zoë Mc Pherson and motion designer, director, and visual artist Alessandra Leone return to Rewire to bring their giddy combination of art-pop creativity and experimental club sensibilities and mind-altering visuals to PAARD I.  The duo, who co-founded the Berlin label SFX, create spectacular audiovisual performances based around Mc Pherson's frenetic music and Leone's singular visual direction. Mc Pherson's newly released album, Upside Down, turns things on their heads. A collage of modernist club music and experimental alt-pop, its acid basslines, rave stabs, and high BPMs pave the way for a frenetic trip into the outer reaches of perception. One track title asks, "Is this real?" Honestly, it's hard to tell, but one thing is certain: at Rewire, Mc Pherson and Leone's cavernous, bassy, high-energy pop inventions will put the soundsystem of PAARD through its paces.
