Simian Mobile Disco are an electronic music duo and production team from London, formed in 2005 by James Ford and Jas Shaw of the band Simian. The duo are famous for their heady, rabble rousing singles; though their investigations into electro and house have taken an increasingly experimental and eclectic edge over the past decade. In September 2014, Simian Mobile Disco released their 4th “studio” album, Whorl, the product of a set of live performances that were then reconstructed in thestudio. Simian Mobile Disco will play a special DJ set for Rewire on Friday 7 November.
