Pan Daijing

presents Playback Play

Performing on Sunday 5 April

Pan Daijing is an artist and musician from Guiyang, currently based in Berlin. Her work explores experimental modes of storytelling across various disciplines such as sound, the moving image and choreography. Daijing’s active research and compositional practice combines diverse references and techniques of production. Often realised as architectural interventions, Daijing’s performances are enveloping, sensory experiences. Fiercely moving, they touch on concepts of philosophy and human experience; provoking the boundaries of live art and music, and sheltering the audience inside the work. At Rewire 2020 Daijing will present the world premier of ‘Playback Play’, a new live A/V performance exploring opera vocal techniques in an expansion of the boundary-pushing artist’s forays into visceral and experimental modes of storytelling.
