A match made in heaven, the collaborative live A/V show of producer Oliver Torr and 3D artist Simon Kounovsky – aka Axonbody – titled Axontorr, harnesses the cinematic, sci-fi production of Torr and the dystopic otherworldly visuals of Axonbody. While working together in a variety of different artistic endeavours, the two artists noticed that the overlaps between their research interests and aesthetics were beginning to move closer and closer – Axontorr marks their arrival at a defined combined approach. Axontorr is a live A/V show composed of different performative and screen elements in combination with music made from self-made musical instruments. Jumping between improvised and planned moments, the sound is one of chaotic unpredictability and destructive, apocalyptic reverie. Stemming from their mutual obsession with software, hardware, instrument, and sound design, Axontorr emerges as an earth-rupturing volcano of bassy sounds and maximalist visions. Axontorr was commissioned by Lunchmeat Festival in 2023.
