Morocco-born and Brussels-based DJ ojoo, formerly known as OJOO GYAL, has been establishing a name for herself with her exciting, strange, and genre-defying DJ mixes for platforms such as Future Intel, and Boiler Room, and her unforgettable DJ sets that have graced the stages of festivals and the dance floors of clubs throughout Europe and Morocco. Her bi-monthly radio show on Stegi Radio, Vibracaust, is an outlet for the more experimental, illbient, musique concréte, and noisy sounds that interest her. Before that, her monthly show on Noods Radio was a haven for garage, 2-step, jungle, grime, and breaks of all sorts. Acting as the foundation for her diverse sound is an influence from the dub-laden sounds of old-school dancehall, but one can never know what to expect from one of ojoo’s sets: there will be bass, and you will want to move – that much is promised.
