Noveller is the name given to the solo project of American filmmaker and guitarist Sarah Lipstate. Noveller’s music is based round the manipulation of a large array of pedals and looping; creating a romantic and often mesmerising sonic wash. And despite the initial impression that her work (such as her 2013 release, No Dreams) has something in common with drone artists such as Vidna Obmana, Lipstate concentrates on creating subtle, incremental shifts of tone and texture into her work; rather than relying on building up flat patterns of sound.
