Not to be Senseless

with Journey Through the Senses

Sensory-Sensitive Event

Not to be Senseless is a stage for neurodivergent art with people and pieces that experience and explore neurodivergence such as synaesthesia, savantism, and autism. This accessible event opens up new perspectives by recognising differences in how people sense the world.

The programme features:

14:00 (with Introduction) and 16:00: Bjarte Wildeman, performance (at Swing hall)
Using tension, the body, and movement, Striae is a performance and installation that explores rigidity through flexibility.

15:00: Anita Hubner, talk (in Dutch, at Swing hall)
Neurodivergent psychologist Anita Hubner will contextualise the Not to be Senseless programme with a presentation about neuro-inclusivity and mental health. This talk will be in Dutch.

Ongoing: Natalia (Nika) Sorzano, installation (at Salsa hall)
Tree trunks, rocks, ceramics, and remnants of pop-culture waste come together to form an unlikely musical band in Sorzano’s interactive sound installation Mud and Sticky.

Not to be Senseless takes place at Amare's Salsa and Swing halls, The Hague on Saturday, 5 April between 14:00 and 17:00.
