NL Premiere

Expanding from their electronic project Raime, musicians Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews invited percussionist Valentina Magaletti (Vanishing Twin, Tomaga, and many others) to form Moin – a group who recontextualize a range of guitar-based genres – grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock – through an enigmatic reimagining of the traditional band dynamica band whose tight instrumentation and vast production and song-writing approach has led to some of the most exciting “band music” to release in recent years. AD 93 mainstays, their debut album for the label, the fuzzed-out post-rock Moot! (2020), was followed up by the dark wavey tones of Paste (2022). Their slanted and Slint-ed guitars and effervescent percussion return on latest offering You Never End (2024), a post-hardcore opus that brings in exciting vocal collaborators to contribute, including Irish-underground “heavy pop” star Olan Monk and artist and writer Sophia Al-Maria, among others. Returning to Rewire, after debuting in the Netherlands at the festival in 2023, the trio will be performing with these two special vocal collaborators, who each bring a special dimension to Moin’s apocalyptic post-everything sound – marking a new, burgeoning phase for the group.
