For the last few years, composer, producer, and songwriter Ricky Cherim, aka Meetsysteem, has been busy with a number of different projects and collaborations. After the release of his first two albums, Geen Signaal (2019) and Cr:GO (2020) on Rotterdam label Nous'klaer Audio, he collaborated with Victor De Roo on EP Was het maar eens niet zo'n feest (2022) for Kontakt Group, and in recent years, he has been recording and playing as part of indie dance group comforter2 – who performed at last year's festival. Cherim's synthy ambient pop is distinguished by its krauty undertones and heartfelt atmospheres. He steps out of the band dynamic for this new performance, offering an intimate solo iteration of Meetsysteem which promises to showcase a new collection of poetic songs that are vibrant with dreamlike imagery. Accompanied by keyboards, drum machines, and synthesisers, Meetsysteem brings a woozy and charming kind of Nederpop for the modern era.
