In collaboration with 1646, Mo Laudi will share his dynamic practice, merging sound and space into an immersive experience and lecture performance on Saturday, 5 April.
Ntshepe Tsekere Bopape (Mo Laudi) is a multi-disciplinary artist, composer, DJ, and research fellow at Stellenbosch University. A pioneering figure in Afro-electronic music, he is known for his Globalisto philosophy, blending sonic experimentation with socio-political critique. His work spans painting, collage, sculpture, installations, video, and performance, often exploring themes of healing, communal connection, deep listening, and radical hospitality. His ongoing research and collaborations continue to challenge invisibility and push the boundaries of Afro-futurist thinking.
