James Holden’s stock has risen in the Netherlands over the last few years; due no doubt to the success of his ambitious second album, 2013’sThe Inheritors. Described by Pitchfork as “a raging bonfire of electro-acoustic composition”, this mind-blowing album drew on psychedelia, electronic experimentation and good old fashioned EDM in equal measure. Holden’s live shows are equally expansive, fleshing out his stage sound with modular synthesizer, drums and saxophone. At Rewire, he will play The Inheritors using a live band; supported by drummer Tom Page (Rocketnumbernine, a Rewire 2012 act) and saxophonist Etienne Jaumet (Zombie Zombie).
