FETTER is the vocal drone-pop project of Amsterdam-based multimedia artist and musician, Jessica Tucker. Tucker’s songs are propelled by persistent synthetic beats, built round dreamy, layered soundscapes, and punctuated by a strong vocal counterpoint. Drawing on the English word that means shackle, or restraint, FETTER rejects the common notion that “music sets us free” and instead embraces the ways music can reveal how unfree we are through offering alternative forms of arrest.
