Dauwd’s music is lush and multi-layered, and full of hidden complexities, unexpected gestures, and sonic sleights of hand. The artist’s credo is disarmingly simple; “make a noise, make it my noise, then give it some rhythm”. To do this Dauwd exploits a raft of sequencing techniques to build up washes of sound informed by percussive textures and rhythmic counterpoints; creating a rich and meditative inner vision that also translates to the dance floor.
