Students from the Composition, ArtScience, Art of Sound, and Sonology Departments of the Royal Academy of Art and the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague present a special Rewire edition of CAAOSSS at the New Music Lab in Amare. This year, the event delves into the concept of noise as a form of resistance, exploring its pivotal role in countercultural sonic movements. From the punk movement and lo-fi aesthetics to its connection with DIY setups, noise emerges as a powerful medium for challenging norms and expressing dissent. The exhibition will feature a curated "sound gallery" of fixed media works, looped throughout the event, alongside live installations and short performances. Each piece has been selected for its technical and aesthetic engagement with the theme, offering a dynamic exploration of noise as an artistic force.
