Liverpool-based artistand musicianForest Swords performs works from his highly anticipated follow-up to ‘Engravings’.

As Forest Swords, Liverpool native Matthew Barnes produces an evocative blend of haunting melodies, jagged dub beats and looping guitar lines. Surfacing with debut EP ‘Dagger Paths’, Forest Swords grounded his reputation with 2013’s highly acclaimed ‘Engravings’, a powerful body of songs that is both euphoric and bleak, heavy and triumphant. Having taken time to collaborate on soundtracks with Massive Attack and Young Fathers, and score dance performance ‘The Shrine’, Forest Swords marked his solo return earlier this spring with ‘The Highest Flood’, the first taster of his forthcoming new album for Ninja Tune.
