Arca and visual collaborator Jesse Kanda present the Dutch debut of their lauded DJ/live AV show.

In three short years, Venezuelan-born producer Arca and London-based visual artist Jesse Kanda have cemented their positions as two of the most exciting artists of their generation. Bursting onto the scene with ‘&&&&&’ in 2013, Arca has produced for the likes of Björk, Kanye West and FKA Twigs, released two critically acclaimed albums of his own, and is slated to releasehisself-titledthird via XL Recordings in April. Arca’s meteoric rise is fuelledby his own distinctly hyper-modern sound, a lurid concoction of distorted synths, skittering beats and angelic vocals that threatens to boil overinto dark and twisted electronic fantasies.

Often working in tandem, close friend and longtime collaborator Jesse Kanda is responsible for the visual layer to Arca’s sonic aberrations. Encapsulating a similar interest in deconstruction and distortion, Jesse Kanda gave birth to the unforgettably grotesque visuals of the highly sexualized ‘Xen’ and hasn’t looked back since. At Rewire 2017, the pair perform their lauded DJ/live AV set, with Arca singing interruptive layers over his favorite productions as Jesse Kanda directs his characteristic display.
